A pinkish grapefruit juice like kriek with a thin off white head. In aroma, a nice smooth epsom salt with nice cherries, brime, very nice. In mouth, a smooth lightly spiced tart cherry, with light talcum notes, very nice and drinkable. On tap at FoBAB 2011.

A dark reddish brown porter with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, a woody chocolate with light peaty notes, some light off notes. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate with light woody notes, tobacco, light lactic points, very nice. On tap at FoBAB 2011.

On tap. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a small white head. I have no idea how, but the aroma has a bit of MBT (lightstruck notes). Passed that, aromas are grassy, bready, grainy, slightly metallic/minerally, biscuity. Flavors are bready, grainy and dry with a hint of biscuit. Light skunk. Grassy. Pretty decent overall with a moderate bitterness and lively bubbles. A bit thin.

Pint plastic glass at the bar at the Frisco Marina, as well as via can purchased at Dillon Ridge Beer and Wine in Dillon, Colorado. These notes are for the canned version. Aug 1511 stamped on the bottom of the can. Pour is clear golden copper, some amber with a two inch off white head. Aroma is lightly sweet malt, along with a somewhat dirty earthiness. The taste is the slightly sweet malt, followed close behind with the dirtiness, that even has some vegetal present. The palate is thin, carbonation is a bit overdone, and the earthiness thankfully clears pretty quick. I enjoyed this more on draft.

Bottle label says "brew number 038," whatever that means - Clear medium-copper pour - minimal head that dissipates quickly - slightly grassy noble hops in the nose, but the aroma is mostly moderate caramel sweetness - seems like some subtle vienna and/or munich malt character - medium bodied for such a light beer - the flavor is a fairly nice balance of crisp noble hops and sweet, toasty malts - the finish is mostly lingering toasted grains and moderate sweetness - more like a vienna than a "premium lager" - much better than I expected.

Sampled from the tap at 2010 FOBAB. Poured a hazy gold with a dark tan head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma had notes of tart citrus fruits with funk and a bit of biscuit. Flavor had building tart citrus note with light fruit and a bit of funk that came out in the finish. What can I say, a surprise.

I don’t quite understand the ratings that compare with to regular Coors, as this is nothing like it at all - anyway - pours a lively clear copper with a substantial, sticky lace - fairly full maltiness in the nose, dry, crackery - a bit earthy/yeasty - a lot of dry, dusty malt and yeast character that doesn’t quite come together well - the hop profile doesn’t help - moderate bitterness that is tasty at first, but starts to become soapy toward the end and long into the finish - no, it’s not like Coors, but that doesn’t make it good.
