On tap at Rock Bottom, Boston (2/20/21). It's an opaque black with no discernible sparkle, finger-width beige head wit excellent retention and nice rings of lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt and milder coffee. Taste is strong roasted earthy malt and coffee, which is a little on the burnt side of char, milk chocolate and a hint of yeast and fruit. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and mostly dry bitter roasted finish. Overall, flavor is more interesting than the aroma and mouthfeel is nice. A little on the charred, bitter side.

Sample at GABF 10/05/2019, thanks to kathryneels for assistance with note-taking. Slightly cloudy dark orange color with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of peach, wheat and peppers. Light body with flavors of smoky pepper, stone fruit, wheat and malt. The finish is fruity with a peach and pepper aftertaste. Decent overall.
