12 oz can. The beer is a peachy amber color. Very cloudy. The head is small, fizzy and off-white. Sweet raspberry flavor in the aroma. Just a tiny hint of jamminess. Artificial sweetener note. Very mild lacto flavor. This isn’t shaping up well. Light butteriness. Taste is very dry with an odd woody bitterness up front. Raspberry flavor does not come through well. Artifically sweet finish. Thin mouthfeel with some odd astringency. Fizzy carbonation. Just not very good. No real depth of berliner flavors with very little lacto character, a limp fruit flavor and artificial sweetness.

On tap at the South Huntsville Mellow Mushroom. Hazy pinkish-yellow, with a thin, champagne-esque head. The nose is lemon juice, raspberries, and a touch of salted crackers. Citrusy sweetness, and pretty tart, but not too aggressively sour. Light, crisp body, with a lovely bubbly effervescence. This is a really nice, light, and approachable beer. I’m glad to see stuff like this coming out of Alabama.
