Description
The Columbus Brewing Company was originally founded in 1830. In 1988, the name was once again chosen to resurrect the proud brewing heritage of its namesake.

Our Brewmaster brings years of experience to the brewery including an apprenticeship with a German-trained Brewmaster, completed the Master Brewers progam at U.C. Davis, and brewing at several breweries throughout North America.

We are dedicated to exploring the flavors of American hops, subtleties of German-style lagers, the intensity of barrel-aged beers & everything in between.

500 c&c that Liz brought from the brewery. Pour is translucent gold with a white fizzy head that departed immediately. Aroma of funky apple. Med body. Flavor is funky apple and there's a lot of apple skin - likely green or yellow. Funky/sour. Approachable. Hard to pick out Brett, but the pedio is discernible.

Crowler Liz brought from the brewery. Pours bright, clear gold with a large foamy/creamy white head. Aroma of citrus, melon, peach. Med body. Dry. Dankish. Very bitter in a smooth way. Flavor is dank herb/weed, citrus, melon and seemingly pale stone fruit. Malt is quite obscured. There is a lot of hop in this. There is a lot of flavor in this.

Crowler Liz brought back from the brewery. Pours clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is rather floral. Med body. It's dry and bitter. Flavor is strongly citrus/pine. More than moderately bitter. Lightly roasty malt support.
