Pours hazy-murky orange, just a bit of white foam on top. Nose has some spruce resins, quite intense actually, kind of like smelling a fresh Christmas tree. Taste is balanced, that spruce, while still strong, is made somewhat softer with fruitiness and citrus. Interesting combo and actually seems to almost work. Quite successful experiment, I would say.

330mL bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt, some earthiness, bit of chalk and some cocoa. Flavour is rich and roasty, with plenty of robust roasted malt, a healthy hop character, some dry cocoa powder, and a touch of earth. Despite the high gravity and high hop content, this manages to drink quite easily. Palate is creamy, and everything works. Very good.

330mL bottle at Taka, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark dried fruits, especially raisins, with a touch of vegetal character and some toffee. Flavour is along the same lines, with raisins, caramel and some boiled vegetables. Sweet but not cloying, with a near-flat body. It's pretty solid.

Bottle from Alus Celle, Riga. Intense piney floral nose. The beer starts nice intense fresh fruity piney, very deep and sessionable. Round and floral, the body has hints of grain there, lots of fresh fruitiness. Easy to drink, lots of piney fruitiness with floral hops in the aftertaste. Nice balanced with lots of pine needles there.
