Description
Outer Range Brewing is a community-driven microbrewery in the small mountain town of Frisco, Colorado. Co-founder and Head Brewer Lee Cleghorn’s love of craft beer began when he lived in Belgium as a teenager, where the first beers he ever drank were world-class Belgian ales. That background has served as inspiration for his IPAs, which showcase the ester profile of these traditionally hop-forward beers. A graduate of the American Brewers Guild Brewing Science and Engineering school in Vermont, Lee runs Outer Range with his wife and co-founder Emily, who is the Chief Marketing Officer and leads the brewery’s branding, marketing, and sales efforts. They met while homebrewing beer together ten years ago, and today, brew for and with a passionate community who lives at the intersection of craft beer and the outdoor mountain lifestyle.

150ml, draught, sample tray at Røør. Near-clear golden body, decent white head that laced quite well. Inviting on the nose with apricot and lemony hops. Similar taste of apricot and lemony hops with a backdrop of piney moments to a rounded finish. Pretty nice. (Oslo, 25.11.2024).

150ml, draught, sample tray at Røør. A covering white head over a hazy orange-golden body, crocheted lacing. Inviting citrus aromas with orange up front. Succulent hop fruity taste with orange and a note of pineapple. Smooth hop fruity ending, bittersweet. Fine depth to it. Refreshing and nice. (Oslo, 25.11.2024).

150ml, draught, sample tray at Røør. Spotty lacing from a low white head, a wheat haze to a pale golden body. Moderate wheat fruity aromas. Lightly spiced wheat fruity flavours with ripe banana impacts. Wheat fruity ending, carefully spiced. Fair enough. (Oslo, 25.11.2024).

Brewed as simply a "farmhouse ale," this is not a saison but something closer to a Biere de Garde although with a distinct Belgian vibe. Not overly farmy but good. Brewed at their location in the French alps near Lyon and Geneva. Looks nice!
