Description
Outer Range Brewing is a community-driven microbrewery in the small mountain town of Frisco, Colorado. Co-founder and Head Brewer Lee Cleghorn’s love of craft beer began when he lived in Belgium as a teenager, where the first beers he ever drank were world-class Belgian ales. That background has served as inspiration for his IPAs, which showcase the ester profile of these traditionally hop-forward beers. A graduate of the American Brewers Guild Brewing Science and Engineering school in Vermont, Lee runs Outer Range with his wife and co-founder Emily, who is the Chief Marketing Officer and leads the brewery’s branding, marketing, and sales efforts. They met while homebrewing beer together ten years ago, and today, brew for and with a passionate community who lives at the intersection of craft beer and the outdoor mountain lifestyle.

Draft at As Is. Fully hazed yellow color, white head, strong lace. Some nice hop notes, slightly overshadowed by an odd herbal thing. Didn't get a ton of the wine or the hop flavors I was expecting, but it isn't bad.

Half-pour at N3 Taphouse. Pours a hazy, bright, yellow color, with a medium, foamy, white head. The aroma is pineapple, papaya, and orange juice. Some pine sap and floral notes. Sweet and very juicy, with a mild, dusty bitterness. Light to medium body, with an acidic, sharp mouthfeel. This IPA has some nice hop aromas. Very mellow and clean. Fun and refreshing.

Pint at Brewer's Republic. Pours a bright, hazy, yellow color, with a big, frothy, white head. The nose is apricot, peach, grapefruit, white sugar, straw, and light, floral hops. Sweet and juicy, with a nice, bitter bite. Light bidy, with a crisp, kinda acidic palate. Quality IPA.

Can shared at Lucky Bamboo. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Huge dank aromas that go on and on with some light citrus and tropical fruit notes, but mostly dank. More dank on the palate with some pithy bitterness and pine notes. More dankness and skunk that lingers on the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Mr H Nelson on 19 Apr 2019 at 23:39 - Score: 6

Taste at Trail's End. Pours a slightly hazy, orange color, with a small head. The aroma is apricot, cloves, pineapple, pine, and almonds. Sweet and juicy, with a sharp bitterness. Light body, with a crisp, lightly acidic mouthfeel. This is a fruity and enjoyable IPA.
