Description
Wicklow Wolf was established in late 2014 after the meeting of two likeminded friends with a common interest in good beer. Quincey Fennelly and Simon Lynch both fell in love with craft beer while living in California for many years. Setting up a brewery together was always inevitable.

Can at home. Clear amber with small white head. Toffee, crisp malts, raisins, a bit of orange, light spices, a bit of ontbijkkoek. Medium sweet, less bitter. Crisp medium bodied. Not super outspoken, but that's the way I like my bock beers. Quite nice!

Ark brown small brown long lastning head
Nice aroma of laktose, sweet roasted malts, coffee grind
Flavor is sweet chocolate toffee and sweet chocolate cake. Some roasted malts but the main flavor is the adjuncts.
Good balance and does not come off as thin. Very pastry

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, a mild dryness, good fine minerally carbonation. Light pale malts, a light smooth sweetness. Cooling pine hops intro. A mild hop spice bite. Eclipse seems to dominate the hops here, quite the forward peachy stone fruits with slightly tangy sharpness that sets it aside from Peacharine. Whisper of lime on the crisp finish. Light, hoppy and drinkable.

0.44l can, courtesy of Elvis. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, chocolate, dried fruit and vanilla. Pours pitch black color with medium sized soapy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with rich roasted malt, smooth oats and chocolate, follows by coffee, vanilla, dark fruit and ash, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and lively carbonation in palate. Wolf in a wolf’s clothing…

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear dark amber brown beer, a decent bubbly pale tan head. Light palate, a modest dryness, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin dark malts, a very thin dark malt creamy sweetness, trace of watery chocolate. Crisp cooling pine into light pleasant marmaladeish hops. Light finish. The foundation of a good CDA but, for me, annoyingly thin and watery.
