Draught at Skaal Sønderborg. Good roasted aroma with a distinct salty liquorice note. Black colour. Ok stable off-white head. The flavour has a distinct sweet liquorice note along with a very roasted coffee note. Very acidic. Not that it is bad as such, but I cannot help but wonder if it is intended.

Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours hazy dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel, yeast, and oats. Sour (too roasty?) flavour with touches of malt, hops, and yeast. Sour and roasty aftertaste with hints of dark chocolate and yeast. Off? OK? No idea, but I wouldn’t fancy a whole measure of it.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Black, mid sized head. Aroma of burn bread with a thin layer of passionfruit. Dry with light to medium body and clean, crisp mouthfeel. Coffee and pineapple. Long bittern finish.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Hazy deep golden, small head. Huge aroma of overripe tangerine. Mid dry with light body and crisp, rounded mouthfeel. Dry and somewhat thin malt, notes of sawdust. Lots of tangerine. Mid bitter finish.

Keg at the Gravity taproom, Budapest, 09/06/23. Deep reddish amber with a beige cap that retains well. Nose is caramel malts, dried red berries, hint of booze, blood orange. Taste comprises dried red berries, pine needle, caramel, booze tunes, biscuit, stewed fruits, fruit slice. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with mellow hop bitterness allied to a balanced boost. Tidy for the style.

Keg at the Gravity taproom, Budapest, 09/06/23. Black with a tan cap that retains well. Nose is chocolate, bourbon, dried fruits rinds, dark malts, spice. Taste comprises booze tunes, mellow roast, cocoa powder, dried fruit rinds, spice, molasses, toffee, bourbon rip. Full bodied, oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid.

440ml can. Jet black colour with average to huge, thick, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige head. Roasty, minimally grainy and sour-ish, oaty and dark malty aroma, hints of sour-ish coffee, oates. Taste is slightly dry, roasty, minimally grainy, oaty and dark malty, hints of sour-ish coffee, oat milk, subtle grainy sweetness. Creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, very fine, soft, creamy carbonation. Well crafted, the sour-ish grainy partitions aren't my cup of tea - decent.

0,4l on tap @ Barley & Bait. Pours very dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is dry roasted malts with some coffee. Flavor is dry roasted malts, coffee, hops. Soft and tasty.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Pitch black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is toasted malts, some floral tones with a bit tea leafs and a bit toffee. Flavour is roasted, some floral, mild wooden and some toffee tones. A bit roasted and chocolaty tones in the aftertaste. Nicely somewhat dry stout.
