Description
Wicklow Wolf was established in late 2014 after the meeting of two likeminded friends with a common interest in good beer. Quincey Fennelly and Simon Lynch both fell in love with craft beer while living in California for many years. Setting up a brewery together was always inevitable.

Tap at Searson, nose is quite fruity, citrus, orange, grass. Palate is quite bitter, some citrus. Sadly a bit old.

(On tap) Hazy amber golden with dense white head. Aroma of pine and stone fruit. Medium body with good carbonation. Rather a thin taste. Citrusy with pepper notes. Subtle biscuit malt in the background. Pleasant enough

500ml bottle: BB Mar 2020. Drank on 7th Sep 2019 while at dock in Dublin. Slight haze to the golden pour, white head. Hoppy with a citrus leaning in both the aroma and taste, mild malts somewhere in the mix too.

440ml can at home. Pours a bit darker than most NEIPAs, this is amber orange with a very small white head. Aroma is not nearly as punchy as most NEIPAs, pineapple, some tropical fruit. Flavour is also very meek compared to most NEIPAs, tropical fruit, boring tbh.

Can thanks to hauxe. Clear amber, giant off-white billowing head. Campfire, bacon, smoke. In a nutshell, liquid smoke. Not bad, if that's your thing.

On tap at Mother Mac's Public House. Mostly clear deep gold in color with a good sized sexy white head that persists. Bready crackery malt light fruit and floral spicy hops. Pretty nice beer.

Can thanks to Steve. It pours deep brown with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet, toothy, coffee grounds, dark fruits, toasted nut, raisin and fruit cake. The taste is bitter - sweet, earthy roast, toasty, sticky, brown bread, smooth, coffee grounds, twist of citrus and some peppery spice. Light body and fine carbonation. Perhaps could be done with a bit more carbonation. Plenty of flavour for the abv. Fun stuff.
