Canned. Pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is metallic, acidic and has some fruits in it. Flavour is almost non-existant, only weak malts and kind of citrusfruity hints. Not a bad brew, just boring.

Canned, 5.0%. Pale yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is cartboard, vegetables, malts and some sweetness. Awkward. Flavour is grainy, hayish and hoppy. Well, flavour is atleast better than the aroma.

Can. Pale golden with a small white head. Grainy, malty and hayish aroma. Malt, grass, hay and alcohol in the aroma. Medium body. Sweden have way too many strong lagers, probably made to satisfy young people trying to get drunk fast and cheap. Surprising, given the fact that Sweden, as Norway, has a government-run chain of liquor-stores that are there to minimize such thinking. (060720)

Bottled (BB 09/2006). Red copper brown, small off-white head. Aroma is the mix of caramel and brewing mash. Watery. Caramelly notes in thin malty body. In the finish low alcohol harshness.

Bottled as "Norrlands Guld 2,1" (BB 08/2006). Yellow, hazy (!) color, not much head. Quite watery - some sweet notes in the flavor. Otherwise sharp metallic mouthfeel, crisp. Not much aftertaste.

Can as "Mariestad 3,5" (BB 09/2006). Golden color, small white head. Cardboard malty. Very metallic malty flavor. Metal also in the aftertaste. Another waste of time swill from Sweden.

Bottled vintage 2006 (BB 10/2006). Dark honey golden color, small white head. Malty, lots of vegetables in the aroma. Malty, medium-bodied basic lager. Not too bad for Swedish 3.5% beer. Watery finish, not much hops found.

Can (BB 10/2006). Golden color, creamy white head. Grassy cardboard malty aroma. Carbonated mouthfeel. Dry papery malty flavor. Actually not bad, just tasteless.
