Test vom 14.12.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,5,6,6,8,5 - 5,55

Way sweet, with heavy caramel. Fairly clean about it - no diacetyl or off-flavours. Probably just an abundance of unfermentable sugars. This beer is tough to find - generally only in peso bars. It’s the local beer of Camaguey but even there you can’t find it in CUC bars. I also found it at a couple spots in Havana. Very, very sweet.

A hazy light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wet cardboard. The flavor is sweet with a light citrus note, but towards the end a strong wet cardboard note comes along and makes the end dry. And the body is thin.

(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy pilsener golden with a small, white head. Lightly tart aroma of brewing cereal. Medium body with notes of cardboard and tart brewing cereal. Raw bitterness in the finish. Not pleasant. 280906

Bottled. Pale golden. Corn aroma. Light bodied, very bready. Low bitterness. Drinkable, but certainly nothing special.
