Bottle. Amber with an off-white head that’s soon a coat. Aroma of singed toffee, tropical fruit, pine. Lightish bodied, moderate carbonation. There’s an odd burnt note here that’s not horrible but doesn’t seem to fit. Tropical fruit, some peachy notes, firm bitter finish. Something must have gone awry with this one.

Bottle (Bottle House, Carlisle St.) Hazy gold with a stark white head. Pleasant but somewhat muddled aroma of earthy spices, wheat crackers, nectarines. 6+ A bit more body than expected for this sort of thing. Highish carbonation. The taste is also a little less clearly defined than I’d like, but it’s fruity, wheatily funky, then redeemed by a dry and bitter finish with pepper and cloves.
