[At Fete de la Biere 2004, Lausanne] A clear yellow beer with a small disappearing head. The aroma is malty with notes of hops. The flavor is just sweet and malty - a boring flavor.

This is my first Kristalweizen. A Tucher which so far has been a company that has not impressed me overly much. Sampled from a 16 oz brown bottle the beer poured a medium golden color with a large yellow head. The aroma is wheat and a hint of tang. The texture is crisp and clean. There is not a whole lot of flavor to be found. Some wheat. Very mild citrus. Not much else. No aftertaste to speak of. Refreshing but that is all.

Cloudy yellow color, thick white head. Aroma of banana, some spices like coriander and wheat. Taste is sweet for a weizen and also quite watery. Sticky palate.

I had never heard of Tucher before I purchased it, but as I am on a wheat beer quest I grabbed it anyway. +++It came in a 16 oz brown bottle. It poured very cloudy - a good sign. The color was light golden - pleasant but nothing unusual. Upon sniffing one is reminded of light grain and a hint of citrus - though this is not a heavily scented brew. The flavor fairly bursts with bready yeastiness, mild wheat notes and very little citrus. Tasted like liquid bread. Pleasant, but I will probably not seek this one out again.

Another good German pils - pleasant to drink, not too bitter, just nothing to set it apart from the crowd. I like it but don’t prefer it above other pils.
