Description
In 1872 Friedrich Eder, the founder of the brewery, acquired the brewery and restaurant "Zum Ochsen", which has been known since 1779. This was the nucleus of today's brewery in Grossostheim. In the following decades the company grew steadily.
Since 1999 the Schlappeseppel beers are brewed here.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s a clear, yellowish golden drink with a small, dense, off-white to white head. Lemonade and hints of hoppy pils on the nose. The flavor too is lemonade-ish, with a little bitterness. Medium body, smooth and effervescent, finishing with the flavor of, yes you guessed the correct thing, lemonade. A quite decent radler. 110415

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. An unclear, dark golden beer with a dense, finger-thick off-white head. Cellar, toffee and some herbal notes in the aroma. The flavor is pretty much the same, not very interesting or very good, but sure drinkable. Dry, well carbonated. The finish has toffee, some banana and cloves and a pleasant bitterness. Quite yeasty all the way. Not my favorite but quite drinkable. 110415
