Description
In 1872 Friedrich Eder, the founder of the brewery, acquired the brewery and restaurant "Zum Ochsen", which has been known since 1779. This was the nucleus of today's brewery in Grossostheim. In the following decades the company grew steadily.
Since 1999 the Schlappeseppel beers are brewed here.

Bottle 50cl.Clear light to medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, vegetable, cardboard, light to moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20091003]

Bottle @ German Tasting Ulfborg. Pours unclear yellow with a small creamy white head. Raw grain, watery with notes of maize.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear pale yellow with a rich and very white head. Sweet lemon aroma. Thin body, fresh and mild and not overly sweet lemon accents. Just a pop, but not a bad one. 041009

Bottle. Chocolate malt and cherry/plum aroma - very nice. Reddish-brown color with small head. Chocolate-caramel malt flavor with grassy hops finish. Palate on the light side. Nice beer - wish it had a bit more body.

Bottled@Timo A. Yelllowish golden colour with not too much head Aroma is saltwater, some hay and also bready malts. Not that exciting. Flavour is grainy, grassy, some mild malty notes.
