Description
In 1872 Friedrich Eder, the founder of the brewery, acquired the brewery and restaurant "Zum Ochsen", which has been known since 1779. This was the nucleus of today's brewery in Grossostheim. In the following decades the company grew steadily.
Since 1999 the Schlappeseppel beers are brewed here.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and light notes of wheat and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, wheat, and straw. The body is thin.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of MoritzF. Clear nutty brown with a beige head. Intense aroma of roasted malt and some alcohol. Quite full-bodied with a very solid malt base, nuts and a little hard roasted malt. Lightly bitter finish. Pure muscles!

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts mild, modest malty, not too dry or sourish. Finish is thin, almost washy, notes of plum. Nothing special.
