About
Ronald started working as a brewer in 1990, at brewery De Raaf. Few years later he lefts the Netherlands for Finland. He stayed in the beer business in various roles, and after a short break, he returned in 2015 to start The Flying Dutchman Nomad Brewing Company, to brew his own recipes at de Proefbrouwerij and Brouwerij Anders. He brews out of love for beer, and only works with the best and most passionate people. That’s why his beers are exceptional – full of character and flavour.

Bottled@Party at Smedsby uf. Black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, some roast, mild vanilla spices and some wooden and slight smoked tones. Flavour is vanilla, chocolate, coffee, some alcohol and mild spiciness and liquorice notes.

Bottled. Deep red colour with a small pink head. Aroma is cherries, mild wood and some sugary notes. Flavour is cherries, some wood, mild toffee and some slight strange tones as well.

Bottled (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Goldeny amber colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is herbal, vegetal and some alcohol sweetness. Flavour is alcohol sweetness, nectar, some vegetal and herbal notes. Strange, but I kind of like it.

Bottled@Little Pub, Vaasa. Deep red colour with a pinkish small head. Aroma is lots of berries, quite sour wooden with some tart notes as well. Flavour is earthy, berries, some tart and sour wood along with mild resiny notes. Refreshing. Long sour finish.

Bottled. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is citrus and parfumed soap along with some oat, lemongrass and herbs. Flavour is quite similar, but has a stronger spiciness to it and also a slight sourish/tartish edge, which doesn't feel like an infection, rather something to balance things out with.

Bottled@Littlepub, Vaasa. Golden coloured with a small white head. Aroma has some white grapes, tartness, wood and mild citrus and lemon to it. Flavour is lemon, some grapes, wood and mild sourness. Rather refreshingly tart, but a bit thin.

Bottled@Lepakkomies, Helsinki. Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some toffee, mild nutty and some herbal notes. Flavour is roasted malts, some toffee, alcohol and mild ashy notes with also a slight bitterness to it. Very mellow and nice. Ended up enjoying several bottles of it.
