Hazy pale gold with a frothy white head and a mellow aroma of tropical fruit and hints of peach and mandarin orange. The mouthfeel has a spritzy edge to it, the fruity flavours are a little subdued and there’s a soft, dry bitterness finishing things off. Decent easy drinking mildly hoppy pale ale.

440ml can from Sophie's Beer Store: Packing date 12th Oct 2020. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 29th Apr 2021. Light haze to the pale golden body, white head. Tropical fruits in the nose, the taste also held some fruitiness and very little hop bitterness, smooth, easy drinking brew.

Can. Almost opaque dull orange with a dense white head. Aroma of lemon scented pine, some gooseberry, bread. Creamy texture. Fruity with herbal and pine notes. Emphasis there seems to mean vague palate. Slightly spiced moderate bitterness.

Can. Cloudy gold with an inch + of white head. Aroma of oranges, flowers, dusty funk, honeyed dough. Quite sweet though and it neither dries out much nor has a serious bitter kick (although it builds after a while). Pleasant enough but I suspect I'd like the littler version more.

440ml can Sophie's Beer Store. Misty gold, sparse white foam bubbles atop. Aroma has a mild farmhouse yeast sweetness. Taste presents a very pleasant, balanced saison sweetness, doughy sweet in the right places without going too overboard, some mild peppery pine drifting into view, very nicely presented.

Panda at home thanks to Wingman. A hazed deep orange gold coloured pour with a loose halo of off white head. Aroma is semi sweet, rounded wheat, creamy orange rind, light grass. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, oily, victoria sponge, jaffa cakes, light spicy. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, fine carbonation. Good.

Panda at home, thanks to Dave, 12/03/21. Murky orange with a decent off white cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is bitter orange, old skool notes, caramel malts, mango, ripe melon, light weed, sweet tones. Taste comprises bitter orange, light pine, sweet malts, soft breads, mandarin, light pine kiss, papaya. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with juicy hop bitterness. Decent enough IPA if a touch on the sweet side.

From tap at Apollon platebar, Bergen, 12.03.21 as a lucky result of my flight to Kristiansund being cancelled. Cloudy pale peach colour. White head and lacing. Moderate aroma, with mandarins, lychee, grapefruit, papaya and herbs. Similar, but stronger, taste.
