Sample at GABF 10/07/2017, thanks to my bro for assistance with note-taking. Dark brown color with a medium khaki head that recedes gradually. Small patches of lace. Roast malt, dark chocolate and coffee aroma. Light to medium body with flavors of roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate and coffee. The finish is roast malt and chocolate. Decent overall.

Sample at GABF 10/07/2017, thanks to my bro for assistance with note-taking. Clear pale orange-yellow color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lace. Aroma of malt, mild hops and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of bready malt, grassy hops and fruit. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draught at the brewpub on Sunday January 29, 2017.Clear dark brown to black color, brown head, some lacing. Malty, light roasted taste. Roasted, some charred coffee aftertaste. Medium to fizzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Malty, roasted scent.Not the sweetness from the lactose I had expected, but a nice beer.
