Peach-amber colour with a thin head. Truly bizarre aroma - could be peaches, could be whisky, could be a garbage heap, could be a really bad batch of mofongo - use you imagination. Honestly, it’s probably just a heavy sorghum aroma, but it’s not pleasant. Raunchy sour sorghum character, like the fruity funk of a Caribbean stout but without the stout. This one is a major struggle.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy copper with a medium frothy off white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is a sweet fruit with honey and caramel. Decent spotty lacing on the glass. The taste is also sweet fruit with banana and apple. The fruit taste overpowers the beer making it difficult to drink, not too much going on with this one.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy yellow golden with a very small white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is a skunky fruit with spice. Decent spotty lacing on the glass. The taste is a bready malt with some citrus and very watery. Not much going on with this one.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty sweetish caramel aroma with some hints of dark fruit. Sweetish malty spicy caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy caramel finish with some hints of dark fruit in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small tan head. Has a malty caramel aroma with oaky hints. Sweet malty and sour ripe fruit flavor with hints of oak and vanilla. Hasa a slightly sour malty fruity finish with some oaky hints.

bottle - Pours very dark brown with a one finger tan head. It has a roast malt aroma with a small hint of chocolate. Flavor is sweet roast malt with some chocolate notes up front and a lightly hopped finish that balances it out nicely. Light to medium bodied with ample carbonation, it’s a good quaff.

Lovely deep garnet colour. Aroma has dried cherry accents, chewy dark malts (light molasses) and some alcohol. Fairly smooth body, albeit with some alcohol character. There’s some background nuts and chocolate but for whatever reason this isn’t hitting the post as well as I figured a Sprecher Doppelbock would.

16oz bottle. Orange-tan color with a light haze in it. Quite sweet and sugary, with some orange candy flavor. Smooth and drinkable, void of harsh alcohol notes. Creamy. Certainly is better at 55 degrees as advertised. A pleasant surprise.

bottle - Pours hazy dark yellow with a thin dissipating head. The aroma is of citrusy yeast, wheat malt, and some good spice. I really like it. If only the taste were as substantial as the aroma. It’s sweet and citrus accented, but also bland and watery. Warming helps some of course, but not enough.

16 oz. bottle. And I feel I need every drop of it tonight. Pour has the light brown appearance of a barleywine, actually, with a 1-finger head of tan foam. Can’t fathom the date code, but I already can’t smell much in IPA hops, just a faint hint of malt graininess. Taste foregoes the usual "3 C’s" hops for a more European load: peppery, evens up with caramels malts and some alcohol heat. Can be enjoyed more as a hybrid IIPA/barleywine, on the low side of the alcohol scale.
