Pours deep brown with a thin tan head. Big aroma of raspberry pie right out of the oven. The chocolate comes through behind the big fruitiness. Just lots and lots of raspberry fruit in the aroma. The flavor starts with a slight fruit tartness followed by raspberry preserves. Just like the aroma the chocolate and roasted malts are just strong enough to slice through the fruit. I like the taste but it seems pretty far from a Porter in style.

Clear deep dark porter with reddish hues and a thick moka head. Aroma of raspberry jam, and chocolate spread, and fresh black roasted coffee. In mouth, a lightly sour porter, due to the fruits, with light bitter chocolate, an interesting marriage. Tasted Jan 2007, with probstk.

A dark golden ale with a thin off white head. Aroma of ammonia and light rotten vegetables. In mouth, a sweet maple malt with peaty notes, solvents, fusel alcohol. Not a winner this time. Probably infected. Tasted at "Montréal YeHA! Party 2006" . Dec. 16 2006.

Bottle. Dark, chestnut color and a small tan head. Lightlty roasted aroma with a weak cofffee note and some honey notes. Dry and roasted in the mouth, with coffee and a medium body. Dry finish as well, with burnt notes. A cross between schwarzbier and stout was my first though on this one. (070427)

(Bottle 47 cll) Pours a clear, orangey brown with a beige head. Aroma of peat smoke and burned malt. Medium body with accents of burned caramel and whisky malt. The finish is dry and bitter. Very smoked indeed - this almost ought to be a Smoked in style. 290407

16 oz bottle - Pours hazy copper with a one finger head. It has a mild caramel malt aroma. The caramel malt flavor carried with it some well balanced mild hops. It’s very easy to drink and makes a decent session brew.

Tap at Blind Tiger - well, the beer sure ain’t much to look at - no head, with a body that looks completely still - pretty thin aroma, with mild fruity esters and candi sugar - flat on the palate - peppery, with fairly strong floral qualities, high sweetness, some grain and light earthiness - the sweetness starts to overpower as it warms, washing out any complexity the beer attempts to have - lacking depth, but I might try this again.
