12 oz bottle from Beer of the Month club. Seems to be the same beer: now labeled as Scotch Ale / 8%, but the description is the same. Reddish to light brown color with a creamy tan head. Smokey, almost burnt taste. Some sweetness as well. Kind of odd and didn't quite work for me.

Got in a trade with GreenBayBA. 12 ounce can into chalice, canned on 3/28/2019. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden/amber/light orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red apple, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, candi sugar, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red apple, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery/clove yeast spiciness; and pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red apple, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, clove, banana, bubblegum, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, candi sugar, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness, and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal lingering resins through the glass. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.4%. Overall this is an awesome hoppy tripel. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, candi sugar, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/clean/refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish; not aggressively bitter on hops. Awesome Mosaic, Ekuanot, and Zythos profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops with balanced Trappist yeast complexity; with a clean candi sugar, and pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A really enjoyable offering. Spot on base style example, with added hop complexity. Really impressive.

12 oz bottle with twist-off cap. Pours a hazy gold color with a thick white head and great retention. Spotty lacing. Standard lager aroma. Clean pilsner malt flavor with the classic sharp and crisp finish. Maybe a little too sharp and hoppy for my liking but a great representation of the style.

12 ounce bottle from the brewery. Dark purple, chunks of fruit, large, dense foamy head, good retention. Aroma of funk, pepper, tart dry berry, a hint of leather. Taste is funk, pepper, vinegar, berry. Thin-medium bodied, juicy, dry, well-balanced. Actually not bad.

Bottle from Dollar Tree. Pours purple/concord grape juice color with a slight lavenderish head. Aroma is pretty much concord grape juice. Near med body. Flavor is something like the historic Grapette* soda. I enjoyed the soda immensely. This, not so much. It's fairly dry, sort of like unsweetened concord grape juice. Not at all bitter. I could drink this at the lake.

Bottle from Dollar Tree. Pours hazy grapefruit juice color with a foamy/creamy white head. The aroma is more like canned grapefruit juice (meh) than fresh. Not sure I get rubyiness at all. Med body or so. Pretty dry. Citrus bitter. There's grapefruit flavor, but there's something I do not enjoy that gets in the way. Leave an unpleasant flavor in my mouth. Not a fan.

Bottle from Dollar Tree. Pours translucent light gold with a large creamy/foamy white head. Nice, fresh mango aroma. Near med body. Flavor is lightly tart, mostly mango, with some wheaty notes towards the finish. Fruitily undry. If Mango skin or something can be bitter, well, this is a little tart/bitter. Rather pleasing, tho high ABV for a radler.

Bottle from Dollar Tree. Pours translucent neon orange with a transient orangish head. The aroma fairly nails that of the old orange/vanilla ice cream bars. Med body. Flavor fairly nails the flavor of those bars as well. Pretty well done, if that was the intent. Not excessively sweet.
