33 cL bottle, courtesy of faeroeviking. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Caramelish and slight grassy aroma. Bitter and light caramelish flavoured into a dry finish. Ends dry and bitter.

Bottle. Creamy, light flavor. Slightly roasty, creamy aroma. Malts rather disappointing. Sweet with roasting; lacking complexity. Full body, but flavor is not much to speak of, really. Uninteresting, though drinkable.

Can: Poured a super pale yellow color lager with a medium size pale white foamy head with minimal retention and not much lacing. Aroma of corn adjunct with lingering sweetness. Taste is also dominated by weal malt profile and some adjunct. Body is thin with good carbonation. Nothing too exciting here.

Smells of bread and not too much else. Has a piss-yellow colour and almost no head. Tastes of hops and water, and goes down incredibly weak. Incredibly forgettable.

Stinks of corn starch, alcohol, tinniness, and some hops. Not appealing to start with. Has some head, but really styrofoamy. Has decent dark gold colour though. Not a bad mix of flavours, hops, maltiness, with a nice finish, and no real trace of alcohol.

Smells of alcohol, corn starch, some grain, and a bit of unwashed male buttocks (I should know after travelling through Africa for a month!). It has a very faint yellow colour and not much head at all. Flavour is some slightly sorry grain notes, breadiness, and a little hint of alcohol. This is a weak excuse for a beer and definitely nothing special.

Aroma smells like skunk and hops, some sugar too. I’m Not entirely sure on the appearance as I drank two of these straight from the can, and I doubt many people poor them into a glass anyways - it’s hard to do from a tailgate, or in a dark African bar! Tastes like water and hops with some animal smells and corn. Not at all appealing, even for a low end beer.... and even though it’s won plenty of "awards" over its lifetime! This is a poor brew at all levels and you can do much better at this price range. Basically, it’s crap. Not the worst crap, but still crap.

Aroma is like apple flavoured soda with a very faint hint of alcohol. Has no real head, colour is a soft gold. Flavour is apple notes with some bitterness on the back end, as well as a certain presence of alcohol in the flavour. Quite sweet as well. It’s an okay cider I suppose, good for a soda pop replacement but nothing unique here.

Not much going on here, just some usual scents of hops and alcohol, but not unappealing in any way. Appearance is half decent gold-brown colour with some head but nothing to cry home about. It’s a decent lager for drinking at the pub with malts, hops, no real alcohol flavour. After all, it’s one of Africa’s better lagers and not a bad choice for something widely distributed.
