Description
In 1824 master brewer Johann Philipp Ledermann came to the small village Döllnitz near Halle and started brewing Gose at Döllnitz Manor. The brewery continued to brew gose till WW 2. After the war the manor brewey was dismantled and the original gose was brewed at several places up till 2015.
Since 2015 we brew our "Original Ritterguts Gose" in close collaboration with Brauerei Reichenbrand in Chemnitz. This small, classic family-brewery fulfills all the requirements necessary for the optimization of our very special brewing process -- in particular the availability of open-fermentation, which we consider a primary component in making a proper gose.

bottle, thanks a lot kappldav123! Cloudy amber-orange yellow, large head. Spicy nose with hints of lemon. Medium-bodied, refreshing, slightly sour with pleasant lemony flavours and shy hints of coriander. Well-balanced with a pleasant carbonation. Superb brew.

Test vom 24.9.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,13,12,12,14,13 - 12,15

Bottled at RBESG-06, GTN. Yellow-golden with a huge, off-white head. Acidic, milky, yeasty and slightly fruity aroma. Interesting. The flavor has yeast, citrus, sourness, barnyard and green apples, leading to a sour finish with some saltyness. A bit astringent body. A quite interesting beer. Think I like it. (060826)

Draught. Sour aroma. The flavour is also sourish, with some salt. It is a nice sourness and not too salty. Very refreshing and nice. Isotonic aftertaste. Soft carbonation. 6 3 6 4 14
