Pours a clear, dark, reddish brown-black, with good-sized head. Fresh aroma, with some floral notes, some hops, maybe a bit of soap. Flavor contains all of these, with some malt, coffee, chocolate. Almost verging over into porter or stout territory, this one.

Less of an IPA than an APA. More malt flavor and grassiness than I usually want from an IPA. Not much in the way of hop bite or citrus flavor. But if this was listed as an APA, it would be pretty outstanding.

Growler shared by Pulp at a tasting. The pour is slight haze golden with a white head. The aroma is fresh tropical fruit, citrus, grass and cracker malt. The taste is citrus pineapple tropical right away, sweet malt which cloys a bit and then softly lingers in the finish. The palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation and the sweet finish. Solid IPA, thanks for sharing this with us Nick.

Bottle at home in CT. Pours clear gold with a foamy white head. The aroma has basic pale malts, slight lemon notes. Light sweet flavor with sourdough bread, hay, faintly tangy lemon, pizza crust. Light in body with fine to average carbonation. Simple pale bread finish with low bitterness and more sourdough.

Bottle at home in Salisbury. Pours totally clear yellow-gold with a large, lasting white froth. Plenty of saison yeast on the nose with notes of tangy lemon, straw, dried cereal, wheat. Light sweet flavor with lightly tangy lemon notes, hints of plastic, straw, dry grains, white bread, lemon rind, faint grass. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes with some lightly sweet, dried wheat bread, grains, fairly prominent saison yeast, bitter hay and grass. Very slight astringency, some lemon zest in the aftertaste. Drinkable enough.
