Description
Cross Borders’ origins trace back to an illicit biscuit cartel run by our two founders in primary school. This brewery IS THE RESULT OF YEARS OF friendship, HARD WORK, EXPERIENCE, AND a refusal to grow up. Based in leafy midlothian we brew braw beer you’ll want to drink again and again (responsibly of course).

Can. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey and daisies. Flavour of peppery yeast, grass and a chalky finish. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This comes together nicely. I thought it tasted similar to Wheat Ales I’ve had before.

Keg at Craftsman Company, Aberdeen. It pours lightly hazy deep gold with a small white head. The aroma is quite soft, bready, brioche, touch of white grape, lemon sherbet and green apple. The taste is crisp, dry, quite bitter, pithy, zesty, citrus peel, straw, grass, cracker, white grape skin, pine needles and some greenness/rawness on the back end. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Maybe a 5ouch raw, but decent anyhow.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy golden - orange with a medium white head. The aroma is bright, juicy, tangerine, tangy marmalade sandwiches, peach and brioche. The taste is dry, firmly bitter, toasty grain, cracker, white bread, pithy orange citrus, kumquat, marmalade, grass and waxy rind with dry, orange peel finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty flavourful for the abv. Nice session gear.
