Description
Cross Borders’ origins trace back to an illicit biscuit cartel run by our two founders in primary school. This brewery IS THE RESULT OF YEARS OF friendship, HARD WORK, EXPERIENCE, AND a refusal to grow up. Based in leafy midlothian we brew braw beer you’ll want to drink again and again (responsibly of course).

Can from Honest Brew. Pours pale gold with a good sized white head. Aroma of hops, citrus fruit, flowers and grass. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Quite light body, slightly creamy and watery texture, average to soft carbonation. More bitterness to finish. Decent especially for its abv.

Cask at The Hanging Bat. Clear golden body with a medium white head that holds well. Good lacing. Aroma of grass, wheat and grapefruit peel. Flavour of flower stems, Rich Tea biscuit and kiwi fruit. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Very easy to drink. I’ve liked all eight beers I’ve had (to date) from this brewery - especially Heavy.

Cask at Bow Bar. It pours lightly hazy dirty blonde with medium foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, grassy, pine, spruce, citrus vibes and stone fruits. The taste is dry, bitter, piney, spruce, bready, brioche, soapy, grass, fresh grapefruit and spice with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Quite good fun.
