Thanks to TimE for sharing the bottle! Poured into a tulip showing cloudy gold with moderate filtration, spare white foam on the head. The nose shows extremely light subtle hints of rhubarb but mostly round malts. The palate is light bodied and highly carbonated. Flavors of round sweet malts with a hint of rhubarb. A slight tartness runs throughout

Golden color with big frothy white head. The nose is moderately sharp with some rhubarb notes. Mildly hoppy, but nice balance and the rhubarb is noticeable without being too aggressive. Light easy drinking mouth, a really good Golden Ale is under this. Fantastically well made beer.

Pitch black color with virtually no head. The nose is nothing short of liquid heaven. Tons of bourbon laying over dark chocolate and roasted malts. Everything is very well integrated in the nose. The mouth continues this flawless integration between bourbon and the underlying imperial stout. Reminded me of Magic Rocks BA Bearded Lady. Low carbonation, alcohol very well hidden. Velvety smooth on the mouth cherries and dark chocolate jump out at the finish. A work of art. We had against old viscousity, amongst other BA beers and this was hands down the best. Really one of the best beers ever made in Japan.

Nice mahogany color. Plums with smoked baked ham in the nose - reminds of ham steaks with plum sauce my grandparent often served me as a kid. Very malty. Very low carbonation, to the point where I think the carbonation is too low. Its a bit too sweet, but not cloying. The plum and smoked ham continue in the mouth with a subtle lingering smoked ham finish. Good stuff, but has potential to be amazing with a bit of tweaking.

The Scotch Ale pours a lovely dark brown with a thick foamy beige head. Much better looking than the IPA, it has a fruity fudge caramel nose, with a smooth creamy mouthfeel & a med-full body. The taste is rich dark malts caramel, fudge, tobacco, pretty darn good.

Served in a small half-pint glass & shared with KyotoLefty. The IPA pours a cloudy honey amber, the nose is nice & hoppy. I got mostly pine needles & citrus. A nice smooth medium body with a soft carbonation. The taste is pine needles, citrus passionfruit & some mild resin. A good IPA that is already better than many Japanese craft breweries offerings, especially considering theyβre such a young brewery. It shows lots of potential though they need to work on the look of the beer, this bottle conditioned one was very cloudy but the photos Iβve seen of it on draft looked markedly better. A solid start.

Bottle with KBL. Nice nose of caramel, port, fudge, umami. Dark brown with a fine head. Deep caramel and fudge flavors, dried fruits, something from the sea, a touch of tobacco. Very well done.

Bottle with KBL. Hoppy, spicy nose, oranges, peaches, a touch of cinnamon, pine. Brown-pink-orange colored, muddy, floaties. Sweet and fruity, passion fruit, pine, orange, peach, gum balls. A bit too sweet, seemingly under-attenuated, but a good start for a new brewery. Nice flavors.
