Tap at Komachi. Hazy pale gold. Estery nose, mostly saison yeast spice, also sake rice, light ginjo-ka. Fruity, spicy flavor with the saison character complemented by the sake rice. very dry finish that is slightly too bitter.

Very oaky, fizzy niceness, but tart. Lovely stuff. Second time, same score. Lovely oaky creamy stuff. Soft and almost sweet. Touch of grapefruit. Really nice.

This is their pilsner, aged in a foeder, secondary fermentation with saison yeast, and bottle conditioning. Bright clear gold with an enormous head that quickly subsided. Nose is tangy citrus, vanilla, oak, honey. Nice. flavor is very oaky, vanilla, citrus, honey, tannic finish. Very creamy also citrusy and crisp. Great carbonation from teh bottle conditioning. The foeder aging and conditioning worked excellently here. Great stuff.

11/4/2022. Bottle shared by minutemat, cheers. Pours hazy pale yellow gold with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of banana boat, peach, wheat, yeast, biscuit, coriander, flowers. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slightly watery, quite fizzy.

330ml bottle from National Brewery Centre, Burton on Trent. This edition uses Berry A and Cabernet Franc grapes. Pours a dull gold with a light mist, good frothy white head. Aroma of mild yeast, saison-esque. Taste seems centred on a yeasty saison character, with no grape influence unfortunately. Moderately smooth palate, could be more crisp and bright, grape notes would be welcome but if it's part-fermented with grape skin yeast that would explain the lack of grape fruit notes. Fine overall.
