Draught at JCBF 2012. Fruity, sweet, honey flavor with spicy Belgian yeast but very nice, strong hopping. Nice palate, decent flavor and nose, with a peppery, hoppy finish. A bit unbalanced, with the hops surprising and fun but the Belgian aspect not perfect. Enjoyable though.

Bottle - A fruity flowery aroma, with a muddy amber hue. Malty tones with a strong yeasty after-taste. A bitterness is the only thing that would make me call this an IPA.

Cask version at Beer Belly Real Ale Month. Nose of biscuity malt and grassy hop, with a bit of unwanted diacetyl. Cloudy gold with a nice, thick head. Spicy malt flavor with great hops, earthy and grassy, some peach, and good spicy yeast. Huge bitterness. A bit unrefined, but good malt and good hops.

Bottle @ RBESG 2011 Grand Tasting at Dean Swift. Black/dark brown colour, thin tan head. Choccy aroma. Some dryness, very choccy. Bit simple.

RBESG August 2011, grand tasting. Black with a lasting tan head. Aroma of licorice, soy sauce and fruit. Sweetish licorice dominated flavour with ash and hard roasted malt notes

Bottle @ RBESG 2011 Grand Tasting at Dean Swift, Tower Bridge SE1. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty caramel aroma. Roasted malty chocolate flavor with hintso f licorice. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Draught at the Beer Belly. Pretty reddish-amber color with a nice, fine, off-white head. Big citrus hop nose, with candy-like malts, caramel, cherry, gumballs. Chocolate and caramel malt flavor in rich and tasty, with good, steady hops bringing citrus, bitterness and earthiness. Big bitter finish. Rich and full. Lovely. Their seasonals are still kicking.

Bottle at RBESG 2011 Grand Tasting at The Dean Swift, London. Pours oily black with a foam, beige head. RIch mocha roast nose. Medium sweet flavor, some light ripe/sour fruits, coffee and burnt cocoa. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Mild warming finish, lingering roast. Very good beer. (August 2011, Score: 3.8)

Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014 London Sunday Tasting - Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell. Pours oily black with a creamy beige head. Lightly oxidised, with some milk chocolate, light roast, some earth, bitter burnt wood. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly sweet on the finish with modest roasted malt character, some chocolate. OK. (August 2014, Score: 3.3)

Aroma of raspberries and vanilla. Almost no hops at all, hints of fruits. Some raspberries and much overaged strawberries in the flavour. Also some hops. One weird, sweetish berry-dipa, feels a bit like Amager Rated XxX, but a bit lighter.

Aroma is yeasty with some wheat and banana esther. Palate feels floury and a bit light. Flavour has some sweetish and ripe banana, wheat and yeast. Average.
