On tap at Diving Dog. Pours a hazy yellow gold with medium white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is wheat and citrus. Medium body, wheat, pepper, clove, yeast, citrus, dry finish, very good.

Draft. Pale straw beer with a cream head. Light spice aroma. Spice and malt flavor. Medium bodied. Spice and malt lingers.

Medium brown. No head. Catching cocoa, touch of smoke, and sweet sugars. On the palate, the smoke kicks in a lot, but sweet figgy, date goodness. Has a mellow bitterness. Complex, but the big complexity here is with the smokiness, a sweet note from the barrel, and then a little bit of fruitiness, too. This goes down well, lacking overt booziness. Honestly, this is really nice, and with more complexity than most.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out deep dark fruits, followed by cocoa and toffee. Flavour is along the same lines, with dark dried fruits, light-medium smoke, toffee, toasted malt and a little cocoa. Dry, astringent finish, with a nice balanced of the aforementioned flavours. Alcohol is apparent but not too harsh. Nicely constructed, though hot and imperfect.

Very dark. Thin head. The aroma has some light chocolate, sweet and thick, with a touch of burnt fruit, and a rich vanilla character. Full body, a touch of booze, touch of vanilla, and sweet black sugars. The burnt fruit comes in only at the very end, only a little bit. Just enough to let you know that it’s there. That dark liquorice is pervasive throughout.

500mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out rich bourbon barrels upfront, followed by roasted malt, and dry cocoa. Flavour is very rich, with loads of bourbon barrels upfront, followed by light roast and toasted malt. Rich, heavy, but wonderfully constructed. Excellent.

This beer pours a cloudy golden color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of peaches, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart peach, oak, yeast and doughy malt. The finish is funky and sour with a peach aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Can from Caps & Taps. It pours a nice light orange color with a small off white head. The aroma is very dank with some pineapple and peach. Maybe a hint of onion and grass behind it all. The flavor is bready and snappy on the palate, although not super potent with the hop character. Nice peach, mango and pineapple notes and not as much onion as in the aroma thankfully. Definitely a little dank though, especially in the finish. Low to medium bitterness. Needs a bit more hop flavor, but still an enjoyable beer.

Bottle. It pours a light golden orange color with a white head that lasts a decent amount of time for a Berliner. The aroma has some lightly buttery and grainy malt. Hints of graham cracker and stone fruit. Background notes of citric acid. The flavor is pleasant with more tartness than the nose would suggest. Good amount of citrusy acid, with background notes of graham cracker malts. Very lean in body despite the maltiness and it lacks some of the grainy/buttery notes that I picked up in the aroma. In fact, there’s some nice tropical fruity flavors in here as well. Very tart, but not overpowering. I do pick up a bit of graininess in the finish, but overall, this is pretty clean and easy to drink. Not among the best I’ve had, but certainly serviceable.

Clear golden with white head. Thin bodied. Cereal grain aroma. Similar flavor with very faint earthy hops. Not that interesting.
