Taster at the brewpub. Pours dark purple, with no head. Cab Sauv, cloves, tobacco, and light cacao nibs. Sweet and juicy, with a mellow, tannic bitterness. Medium to heavy body, sticky, and astringent. Quality, and quite wine-forward.

Nelson version. Pours a clear, amber color, with a fair, foamy, off-white head. The nose is spruce tips, grapefruit peel, butterscotch, light passion fruit, and musty hay. Sweet and malty, with a bold, sticky, bitterness. Medium to heavy body, sticky, and slick. Nice, aromatic, and fun.
