Got this from a nice guy who came in to Bodega during the Wastewater conference bought some barrel-aged cellared stuff wrote down his name but I couldn't read it and I'm bad with names so thanks whoever you are sorry I couldn't remember your name! It's kind of like the label says not overly sweet but also not a huge amount of traditional brown ale flavor and aroma. Nice drinking good body and finish. No off qualities at all.

Pour is a chalky looking yellow with a huge overflowing white head. Aroma is a clean pale lager malt with no adjuncts to be found. Flavor is also a very clean and dry cracker malt with no hop presence. This is probably what pale lagers tasted like back in the day before they were mostly mass produced. A profound dry malt but also a bit watery and refreshing at the same time.

Pour is a very dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a rich chocolate with some roasted nuts and a sweet maple syrup. Flavor is molasses with some brown sugar and a thick sweet syrup. Wow cats and dogs this beer is sweet. No sign of the alcohol as it’s covered up by the sweetness. I commend them for doing something different with a brown ale but this is a bit too sweet for me.

Bottle @ Steve’s house. Thanks Steve! Pours a reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Celery, rhubarb, caramel, light whiskey nose. Some acetone in the nose. Chewy woody, herbal, acetone, chemical flavor. Unfortunately, this bottle is fucked.

Sample at Madison Homebrew Club meeting. Filtered orange-tan. Light bodied, some corny cheap malt tones. Very close to domestic swill. Husky. Buttery aroma.
