Backlog. In Cape Town with HO and QL 12.04.12. Pale copper. Persistent head. Aroma of cloves, orange zest, coriander. Taste of spices, dried fruits, liquorice and Belgian yeast. Medium long aftertaste with spices and some hop bitterness. Brewery claims it’smade with only barley malt, hops and water. Smells and tastes like a wit - good but not exceptional.

Amber colour. Not much head but there wasn’t much carbonation in general. The aroma is plasticy and with fusels that should have blown off, and bubblegum. The taste is similarly questionable. The good is in the light toastiness but mostly its a dirty (astringent burnt stuff, garbagey, overripe fruit) heavy mess.

Pours flat. Light amber colour. Aroma has some issues...phenolic, fecally issues.

Bottled, thanks jolo! Near black, small head. Citric nose. Dry and light bodied. Thorouhly infected, so lemon and yeast completely dominates roastiness. Low bitterness. Had high hopes for this one after having visited the brewery some years ago. Hopefully this is a single mishap.
