Description
After 700 years, the Aktienbrauerei is the last representative of the Kaufbeurer brewing tradition that started in 1308 under the name "Zur Goldenen Traube". The brewery has been owned by the Walch family since 1799. At its current location, the beer cellar was built in 1807, and the company was converted into a stock corporation in 1885. This made the Kaufbeuren stock brewery one of the first stock companies in Bavaria. In the second half of the 19th century, the brewery was the most important brewery in the city.

Bottle: Pours a pale golden hazy colour. Big white head, that disappears quickly though. Has a aroma of bananas and lemons. The taste is malty with hints of bananas and oranges. A bit crispy too with bananas in the asftertaste. Not a bad beer but not the best weizen i have tasted.

Very hazy golden colour with orange highlights and a nice effervescent white head. Aroma of coriander seed, green apples, faint hops and a slight yeast. Medium to Light-bodied; Strong yeastie and wheatie qualities with subtle citrus and fruity notes. Aftertaste permeates for a while and shows some of the malt dominance. Overall, an average german wheat, nothing special going on, and no great complexities to speak of. I bought this 500 mL bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, New York.

Very dark color, short lasting head. Aroma of rye and roasted malts, bitter coffee. Bit strong aroma. Way too much rye for me, but very strong taste. I was like chewing on the breadcrumbs.
