Tap@Kelly’s, Key West. Clear amber color, small off-white head. Raisins and caramalt with some flowery notes in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Raisins, fruityness, earthy hoppyness. Quite English actually. Below average brewpub bitter.

On tap at Florida Brewers Guild Fest 2007. Beer listed as an IPA with 6.5% ABV. Nice deep golden pour with tiny ring of foam but really almost no head. It has a pretty big tangelo to sweet grapefruit aroma. The taste doesn’t really deliver what the aroma was promising. Seems a bit watery and neutral in the beginning for an IPA. There’s a little grapefruit and pine hops which grow toward the finish. About midway I get a roasted malt note. I guess the stronger hop finish the beer has sort of makes up for the watery start.

(On tap) Slightly hazy, dark amber. Vague aroma of yeast. Medium-bodied with some roasted malt and weak accents of dried fruits - and perhaps some port. But a very thin Abbey Dubbel. 060406

(On tap) Clear, reddish brown beer with a small, off-white head. Incredibly light aroma of roasted malt. Medium-bodied with a good, malty feel and a note of rum. No real bitterness. 060406

(On tap) Beautiful, clear amber - basically without any head. Discreet, malty aroma. Medium body with some caramel and a gentle and lovely touch of grape fruit from the aroma hops that also leave a very dry finish. More amber than golden ale though. 060406
