Amber-brown. No head. Bubblegum aroma is not good. Light body for dbk, weak, just a poor example, too light and lacking malt richness. One of those beers you have at Downtime and you're not sure how long it's been sitting around, but you're pretty sure it's been a while.

Dark brown. Okay, it has some thickness, but there's a bit of vanilla, and the thickness is more on the artificial side. It's not rich; there's a bit of coconut there.

16 oz. can, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is full of rich whiskey barrels, followed by vanilla, subtle coconut, and dark sugars. Flavour is rich, with lots of vanilla and coconut upfront, accentuated by boozy whiskey barrels and dark sugars. A bit lacking in cohesion and harsh but otherwise nicely constructed. Good stuff.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 01/20/2025). Very dark brown with minimal light tan head. Roast malt, feint caramel malt, touch of vanilla, feint whiskey barrel and coconut notes, thinner-medium bodied. Decent.

16oz can. Pours dark brown with no head. Chocolate, coconut, and vanilla on the nose. Flavour has dry cocoa, roasted coconut, vanilla beans, and charred bourbon barrels. Not the most intense or well-integrated, but pretty solid. Gets a bit more brutal as I drink.

On tap at DownTime Taps, pours a clear amber brown with a small white head. Aroma smells authentic, with toasted nuts, bready malt, and a touch of caramel. Flavour is bang on as well, with caramel malt, toasted nuts, bready notes, and a touch of brown sugar. Malty but not too sweet, with great balance. Very good.
