licorice and aniseed on top if a light sourness and dryness. Lots of funk, but not the Brett and funk to make it so authentic. A touch of lemon grass in there I swear. Still very nice beer .

Full bodied, might say triple but not a tradtional triple. Lots of lemon grass with coriander and orange peel. Still it is a well made brew. A touch of phenols. Very enjoyable. In fact other triples could go this route and do quite well. Again, very competently made. The brewer knows what he is doing.

Very good, slightly penolic, well balanced with lots of orange peel and coriander. Extremely well executed. This is a great showing of the style. This is their ultimate summer beer. Seriously they could sell this by the pitcher. Yum

Grassy hops and a touch of floral. The grainess really jumps out. Light refreshing excellent bitterness.  Hell yeah, this is what I want to drink when it is 38 degrees , 99% humidity in early July.  Great summer beer. Dry grassy finish - probably gets a couple extra points for matching the weather so well.

Golden color. Nice frothy white head. Whoa. WTF. Starts with nice piney bitterness then a massive caramel malt drops in and smack the back of the tounge. Two completely separate layers. Full bodied. Need a bit more hops and abv an it would have been unreal. Still a very good beer. Again the brewer here knows what he is doing

Medium brown color. Dark cherries and eath in the nose. Very malty. A touch of green apples. Solid malty mouth. Great depth, green apples and brandy is hitting the back of the tounge. It suffers a bit fr om not enough alcohol, but otherwise this is a work of art. Serious, ampthis up a one percent and you a competitor for one of the best Scotch ales around. Doesn’t suffer from too much hops. Someone knows how to make good beer

A quasi opaque amber ale with a thin lacing white head. A strong aroma of estery bananas, nail polish, a bit too much and cloying. In mouth, a nice wheat ale with an oily mouthfeel, solvents, bitter hops, not bad but a bit odd. On tap at Fu Xing brewpub, Oct. 24 2010.
