BRÚ Brewery was established in 2013 in County Meath, Ireland. It was driven by a passion to brew high quality, accessible beers for everyday drinkers. We’re proudly Irish, independent and committed to using only the best ingredients in brewing. Thanks to exciting new developments in 2019, we’ve grown to a brewing capacity of 75 hectolitres and now offer two core ranges driven by the same brewing spirit: BRÚ core and Urban Jungle.

Cask @ JDW Shrewsbury Hotel. Pours clear amber, cream head. Floral nose, light malt. Taste has an initial bitter floral character, with a confident hop presence, some toasted malts, drying close.

Cask at the Pump House, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light sweet caramel, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a smooth, rich malt, light fruit, dry pepper spice, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask handpull at Muggleton Inn Maidstone JDW. Clear amber colour lasting beige head. Good condition. Some biscuit malt. Light hop presence on the finish. OK.

Cask at Hamilton Hall. As Red Ale. Pours amber with a lasting creamy off-white head. Aroma of hop, fruit, malt and veg. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation.

APPERANCE: very dark ruby body and clear. slight ruby highlights. medium light tanned head with medium-low retention. TASTE: medium roasted malt flavor with a coffee character. medium to medium-high bitterness with a somewhat dry, roasted and slight bitter finish. PALATE: medium-light body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a typical irish stout.

TASTE: similar to the aroma with a medium-low grainy-malt flavor. slight fruitiness. medium to medium-high bitterness with a grainy and bitter finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a regular premium pale lager.
