Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a dark ruby with a small cream head. Malts are to the fore in the aroma. Sharpness is the initial sensation in the mouth, but quickly the rich ,creamy, malty texture asserts itself. Some chocolate and a hint of coffee come along in due course. Finish is quite bitter and slightly spicy. This is rather nice.
