Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Some caramelish malt in the nose, but also a slightly sticky alcohol. Malty body, if not super rich. Some slightly rough late hops. It's decent and drinkable, but a great Doppelbock it is not. 060121

Bottle. Pours clear tea amber with airy off-white head. Clear but mild aroma of fruit and caramel, with malty and estery notes. Sweetish flavour of malt, yeast and caramel, with bready and sour notes and hoppy touches. Bitter and bready aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Well, it tastes like a typical supermarket beer from a macrobrewery that wants to impress the customer with the skills they don't possess. Drinkable but rather boring.

Bottle, 7.5%. Malty and dusty aroma. Clear amber colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour is fairly malty, a little bready, but somehow still watery. The finish is spicy, mostly aniseed or something. Lagery finish also.

50cl can. Clear brown, small light brown head. Mild , quite pleasant malty and roasted malty aroma, bitter nut shell. flavor is roasted malts, bitter nuts, oxidation, syrupy caramelly note, bitter ending with notes of alcohol. Not that nice, a bit industrial and the bitterness is getting close to burnt plastic.

can. okay. I never rated this one. that's lazy ticker work. And i lived in odense for several years.. sooo lazy. but now.. to repent, to make up for my laziness, i bought a 6-pack, and this is the first one, and it better be good.... clear yellow with hints of orange and golden. white head. sweet macro ish vienna to pils aroma, sweet fatty note like egg white, but generally malty sweet and no weird bitter herbal or metallic notes. flavor is mild, slightly malty, super low bitterness, i guess could be a quenching and easy not so much burpin' alternative to mineral water. much easier to drink than tuborg classic, and a much smoother and non-alc/herbal bitter taste profile than most cheap macro lagers in denmark. I think it would stand up pretty well to tuborg and royal classic, where the other two are more bitter in a very industrial way. royal has more nutty and caramelly flavors and is by far the tastiest of the 3 , but this one has a gentle smoothness that will fit into what you need right then and there, occationally.
