Sample at the brewery, 12/13/19. Hazy yellow, wispy white head. Grapefruit, pineapple, and some apricot. Light mango. Clean feel, slightly thin on the finish. Solid one. 7/4/7/3/15

Sample at the brewery, 12/13/19. Slightly hazed yellowish, white head. Less clean than the non-brett version. Aroma is much funkier, some horse blanket and graininess. Pretty much overtakes the fruity components I got in the regular version. More earthy and more complex, but totally different. I like them both, but I wish the fruitiness had stuck around here, as then this one would go from really good to excellent. 8/4/8/4/16

Sample at the brewery, 12/13/19. Unclear yellow color, bright lemon, citrus, and tropical fruit with some zest yeast and spice as well. Bit of funk to it. Drinks great, really clean. 7/4/8/4/16

Tons of vanilla and orange. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Too much vanilla and orange, much like a creamsicle. This is just too over the top with the strong flavors.

Chocolate and a sour tinge. Jet black with a small beige head. Chocolate and a light peanut butter note with a sweet long finish. Not really what it states.

Anise and dark malts. Jet black with a small beige head. Bitter, herbal, cocoa and some nice complexity. A nice beer.

Big roast and burnt coffee with cinnamon. Sweet and sticky with lots of coffee notes. Better than the original, but still a bit of a mess.

Soured spicy notes on the nose. Dark brown with a small white head. Dark sweet roast, spice and along cinnamon finish. A bit of a mess and just not as described.

Light apple on the nose. Clear gold with a small white head. Lots of fresh apple juice notes and not much else. The sweetness renders the light tartness pointless and it just comes across as juice.
