Good enough, but the 5.9% root beer is still my favorite.

This hardly even beer. Tastes more like cream soda than it does beer. Very artificial-like flavours. I wouldn't buy this, or any in this beer line again. Berkeley. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a black with an off-white head. Big wintergreen and licorice aroma, similar flavor with a good amount of vanilla, a bit of rooty bitterness. Buuuuuut, still just a soda, feel weird rating it.

Bottle: Dark, clear amber with a small white head. HUGE vanilla aroma. Flavour is sweet, carbonated, and spot on vanilla cream soda.....just the slightest hint of grain malt to lend a scant idea that it’s a beer. While it’s barely a beer, it IS remarkably tasty and fun to drink.

Bottle. A- Vanilla, cream ale. A- Burnt golden color, clear liquid, white head. T- Vanilla, cream soda, medium sweetness. P- Light body, average texture, high carbonation, sweet finish. O- Maybe not very beer like but tasted more beer like than the Root Beer. And much better than the root beer. Loads of sweet vanilla and cream. Really tasty. I could drink a lot more of this than I should probably admit. May be a new guilty pleasure.

Bottle from Bert’s Crystal clear deep golden color, initially a small bubbly white head but that disappears almost instantly. Big ginger on the nose and little else. Sweet, very sweet sugary maltiness with a spicy and ginger flavor to it. I don’t like this as much as the root beer. Its not horrible, but I couldn’t drink 12 oz of this its too damn sweet.

Bomber from WinCo. Dark brown with thick creamy head. Aroma is root beer, some sassafras, some vanilla. Taste takes a downturn. Alcohol burn up front. Licorice obscures the root beer aroma. Sweet, medicinal, earthy. Finishes the same. Started out nice and went downhill from there.
