Sample at The Ohio Taproom during the Athens, Yo! event on 05/17/2017. Clear dark amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, caramel and fruit. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, ripe fruit and a touch of hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

22 oz. bottle received in a trade with JStax, much thanks! No date coding on the bottle. I believe this was early 2017 release. Slow dying tan head that left lace on the snifter. Aroma is light chocolate and huge amounts of pine. I am talking slap you in the face pine.
Mild chocolate backbone with the bourbon showing slightly. The amount of pine bitterness nearly overrides anything else going on here. Strong lasting pine bitterness. I very easily could have held the bottle longer with the huge hop profile. The bourbon is hardly noticed over the hops. Like sucking on a pine cone.
