5.9/10 β€” Appearance 4 Aroma 7 Flavor 6 Texture 4 Overall 6.5
Bottle: Dark amber coloured with ruby spots, small foamy off-white layer; moderate sweetish-caramelly and fruity (dark berries) nose with a tinge of molasses; light bodied for a beer of 5.0 %; moderate bitter-sweet flavour; sweetish-bitter finish with a touch caramel and molasses. Well drinkable, but not earth-shaking..........

5.9/10 β€” Appearance 4 Aroma 6 Flavor 6 Texture 6 Overall 6.5
Bottle: Deep amber coloured with reddish dots, a bit lacing "tired" off-white head, big fruity (olives !?)-vinous (Madeira) nose with a touch of molasses and a tinge of balsamico; full bodied, sweet (-malty) flavour; molasses and dark fruit in the finish, not to forget some bitterness in the aftertaste. A decent Doppelbock with well hidden alcohol; a bit sweet, but not unbalanced......
