Super hazy straw yellow coloured body with a very ugly, super thin (barely a single centimetre tall) frothy white head that fades fast and leaves nothing up top over the 90 per cent opaque golden glow. Aroma of bright oranges, guava, mangoes and even strong bubblegum with some oats and wheat noticeable with a bit of papaya and guava adding to the richness of this, with a slight floral and grassy note near the end that puts off a bit of bitterness from the hops. Aftertaste is clean-drinking with a nice layer of smooth malts setting the stage for the strong and enjoyable oranges, mangoes and other fruits, with a very nice floral bitterness all here and showing nicely. Overall, a nice, super-balanced newer-school IPA that still has a great fruit note, some smooth malts, a nice bitterness and not showing much alcohol at all - very nice and despite the nasty-looking head, this beer is sublime - great to have, quite fresh and I'll be looking for more from this brewery the next time up in New Jersey! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 03-September-2022 for US$4,29 with the tagline 'So Close' on the bottom, canned on 20-July-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 18-October-2022.
