Can from Beer 52 – drank at home. Pours a bright copper with an enormous frothy off-white head than quickly evaporates, but does leave some lacing. Malts and pine plus a hint of oranges in the aroma. In the mouth there’s a brief burst of malty sweetness to starts, before it is overwhelmed by an avalanche of very bitter traditional hops, plus marmalade, pine and a trace of citrus. Bitterness lasts into the finish. This is MY kind of IPA – not your wishy washy grapefruit juice stuff ! Gorgeous.

Keg at the Heriot watt beer festival. Pours hazy amber, nose is grassy, toffee, herbs, taste is similar, bit of burnt rubber.
