16 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Slightly hazy honey gold color. Large bubbly white head slowly dissipates to a finger high froth. Yeasty, soapy biscuit malt aroma. Zesty, semi-sweet fruit flavor upfront. Faint citrus and green herbs. Dry peppery finish.

16oz can from the brewery. Filtered, yellow-orange body. Carbonated a little aggressively perhaps, fast rising bubbles, but not much of a head. Pretty solid and true for the style. Clean and drinkable, smoke is center stage but not really dominating. Enjoyable.

Tap at Root Down. Fruity tropical punch . Pleasant hop tone sort of touched by a broad flavor of tropical fruit. Good flavor, but drinks more like a fruited sour than an IPA.

Tap at Root Down. Really nice true hazy pale ale. Juicy, creamy, excellent. Balanced for the style.

Tap at Rootdown. Filtered, pleasant tripel. True to style, doughy, fruity. Good.

Tap at Rootdown. I don't get a lot of the NZ hop tone. Clean, drinkable. Close to a NZ pils, but a breadier malt body. Good, but not the NZ hop display I had hoped for.

Can from my brother: pours gold with white head. Aroma is grass plus spicy rye notes. Taste is moderately bitter and somewhat spicy. Lots of taste generally. Solid pils.
