On tap at Northpaw, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out chalk, dusty dry cocoa and earthy notes. Flavour is dreadful, with chalk, bitterness, an army of random chemicals, and rotting fruit. This is disgusting. How can you sell this shit? Undrinkable.

On tap at Northpaw, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma is very vinegary, with boozy raisins, some bourbon, and perfume. Flavour is very poor, with perfume, vinegar, intense booze, and burnt brown sugar. How could they make such terrible use of a Woodford Reserve barrel? It's cool that they're attempting to do BA beers and using good bourbon barrels, but they need some serious work to pull this off. Perhap the worst BA beer in BC that I've tried. Terrible.

On tap at Northpaw, pours a murky, muddy reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out candi sugar, Belgian yeast and caramel. Flavour is sweet, with cotton candy, caramel, and Belgian yeast. Cloying, artificial and poorly conceived. What the hell is this supposed to be. Very crappy.

On tap at Northpaw, pours a cloudy dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out paint thinner, perfume, rum and balsamic. Flavour is horrendous, with an army of chemicals assaulting the palate, boozy rum, and balsamic. Vinegary, boozy rum, and thin perfumey notes. No redeeming qualities to this. Just awful. How can you sell this?

Weedy aroma, like really weedy. The malts are a bit too thin to carry the load of hops they dumped into this, and aiming for hazy didn't work out this time.

Smells of soft chalky grain, peppery saison notes, has cloudy yellow body and and okay creamy foam. Flavour is murky grain, muddy wheat notes, watery chalk finish. A boring grain forward IPA.

Smells of soft hops and vague faint coffee, has semi-clear dark copper body and bad foam. Flavour is soft hops, mellow dark grain notes, nothing pronounced. Mouthfeel is full enough, okay oiliness, average crispness. I normally get excited about black IPAs but in this case I'm making an exception.

Smells is all boring hazelnut and home brew malt, has murky brown body with little foam. Flavour is more hazelnut and biscuit. Carbonation is there but everything else is way too watery. Mediocre at best.
